Differently abled data
According to the last census report, around 2.68 crore Indians are differently abled which comes out to be 2.21% of the total population. While 1.5 crore of them are men, 1.18 crore of them are women.
Challenged by disability
While over 20% of the disabled persons struggle with disability in movement, 19% are fighting with visual disability and 19% with disability in hearing. 8% on the other hand has multiple disabilities. Work closely with the NGO near you to work with differently abled people.
Educational status
Reports state that about 55% (about 1.46cr) differently abled persons are literates and 45% are illiterates who never went to school or college in their lives. Open the gateway of opportunities for differently abled people.
