Prayatna, Pune was founded by Mridula Das Radiya Gohil Nafisa Khambata. Here's the vision of this non-profit: "PRAYATNA-for People with Special Needs, was started in 1997 to cater to the needs of children and adults with moderate to severe disabilities. Stressing on ABILITY rather than DISABILITY Prayatna provides ‘services with a difference’ – creative and multifaceted learning experiences as opposed to the monotony of ‘Sheltered Workshops’. Teaching methods are totally individualized, drawing from both conventional and alternative methods.
