Raksha is a Non-Governmental Organization based in Jaipur that focuses on animal rescue, and awareness programs. It is a youth-based organization created for the protection of birds, reptiles, and other wild animals. This local animal welfare NGO is run by a small group of individuals to improve the health and welfare of animals. Raksha has also actively engaged in the protection of the environmental ecosystem in Rajasthan. Their aim is to protect wildlife by helping animals in the Rajasthan region. 


The organization has conducted many awareness drives to get people aware of animal safety and to get people closer to nature. Awareness programs like animal rescue, bird rescue, reptile rescue, vegetarianism, animal shelter, cleanliness drive, etc. have been conducted by the organization in the Rajasthan region.

Founder's vision & message

Raksha NGO was started in 2003 by the founder, Rohit Gangwal in Jaipur, Rajasthan. He started Raksha with a vision to impact and improve the lives of wildlife and to promote actively responsible companionship towards all animals. The team has worked relentlessly to safeguard the environment against exploitation and to protect wildlife against inhuman behavior. 

We also aim to help save the birds, reptiles, and animals through our helpline numbers. If anyone spots any bird or animal in suffering, we request them not to turn a blind eye but to call on our helpline numbers and save lives.
