Nanhi Jaan - with Darpan ID CH/2017/0174619 - was launched by Veeranwali Foundation as a flagship project for underprivileged children in Chandigarh. The beneficiaries in the first phase were the 'critically ill' children at the PGI. The project 'Nanhi Jaan' took birth when some members experienced dire need to medical support and financial help at the pediatric ICU at PGI, Chandigarh. The vision of the project is to raise funds to provide medicines for critical care, fund critical care equipment, and provide volunteers to help and direct people in need.

Brands like Elante, Infosys, and Winsome Yarns support this nonprofit from Tricity region in helping children in need of medical assistance. Nanhi Jaan also did remarkable work in collaboration with PGI and also supported government organizations as well as civic bodies during COVID-19.
