Established to amplify  women’s voices, this nonprofit organization focuses on empowering women and runs structured community programs. Founded in the aftermath of the 2012 incident, Jwala – The Voice of Women in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Jwala works in areas such as women empowerment, education, health awareness, self-defence training, skills development, legal awareness, and livelihood generation. Many of its program reach urban slums and rural areas in Indore, as well as other nearby districts of Madhya Pradesh, and a few semi-urban regions.

Over the years, this nonprofit has achieved many notable milestones, including completing over a decade of service and positively impacting thousands of women through training and awareness programs. Jwala has received local recognition for its consistent efforts in women’s safety, economic development, and community mobilization, marking it as a respected organization in the social sector.

Founder Team of Jwala – The Voice of Women envisioned a society where women live with respect, safety, and equal opportunity. The Founder Team of Jwala – The Voice of Women established this charity in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, to address the growing concerns surrounding women’s safety and empowerment. Their vision is simple yet powerful: confident, self-reliant women leading positive social change. As a grassroots NGO, the founders focused on action-oriented community work.

The mission of Jwala – The Voice of Women, Indore, Madhya Pradesh is to empower women through education, self-defense, health awareness and legal literacy and livelihood skills. Large projects include self-defence training, menstrual hygiene awareness sessions, skill-building programs and the production of eco-friendly paper-bags. The NGO is supported by a growing network of volunteers who actively participate in training and outreach activities.

Guided by the Founder Team of Jwala – The Voice of Women, the charity collaborates with communities, schools and colleges, as well as corporate supporters and CSR partners. The NGO has collaborated with local governments and law-enforcement agencies to implement awareness programs and safety initiatives, thereby strengthening its influence at the grass roots level.
