Founder's vision & message

India Vision Foundation was established in 1994, when the first female officer of India, Dr. Kiran Bedi was awarded the Ramon Magsaysay Award for building a positive relationship between people and police during her tenure as Inspector General of Tihar Prison. SAMMAN is a new initiative by the India Vision Foundation which aims to extend support to around 2000 women and adolescent girls in the marginalized society of the Delhi region. Despite financial and other challenges the founder of India Vision Foundation never stepped back and overcame all the hurdles towards making India a better place for all.

Dr. Kiran Bedi, the first lady IPS of India never surrendered, whatever the circumstances were, and made this organization a big success. It is their sincere efforts that have made this nonprofit organization work wonders for the unprivileged champions of our society.
