Friends of Animals India , Tamil Nadu

Friends of Animals India is an initiative of Thangam Memorial Trust situated in Tirupur District of Tamil Nadu. The nonprofit organization is dedicated towards animals. Strays across the region are treated for free in the NGOs clinic. With over a hundred active animal rescue operations, Thangam Memorial Trust aka Friends of Animals India is the first line of defence of the speechless creations of nature.

Not only free treatment but animal family planning is also carried out at the Tripur based non governmental organization. The clinic/NGO serves 7 days a week and no matter what the circumstances, the dedicated volunteers and team members of the organization are always up for service.

Founder's vision & message

Friends of Animals India is a collective approach of vets, like-minded animal lovers and social activists who want to serve the nation and humanity in one way or the other. With full-time working 6 veterinarians and an entire team of youth that want to alleviate animal suffering, the Tamil Nadu based NGO is burning its midnight fuel towards the betterment of the lives of animals.

The name Thangam is the name of one of the founder’s mothers, in the beloved memory of whom this trust has been founded. With 150 dogs sheltered, Friends of Animals India is setting up benchmarks for people who want to connect better with humanity by animal welfare activities.
