Sarhad NGO to adopt 1000 Afghan students
After the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan, Sarhad – a Pune-based non-profit organization working for students in conflict zones decided to adopt 1,000 Afghan students till the situation stabilized in their country. Sarhad founder Sanjay Nahar said he had written a letter to Prime Minister Modi on this matter. Sarhad will also be helping Afghan students facing visa problems.

Ghaziabad NGO releases sportsbook in Urdu and Sanskrit
A book “Khel Qaida” has been released for the children studying in the madrassas to become familiar with sports in the Urdu language. Similarly, “Krida Pariyachika” has been released in the Sanskrit language for the students at Sanskrit pathshalas. Kanishka Pandey, the founder of the NGO believes that this initiative will increase the awareness of sports among the children studying in Madrasas and Sanskrit Pathshalas.

49,000 crore foreign funds received by Indian NGOs
Over ₹ 49,000 crores in foreign funds were received by more than 18,000 NGOs in the country in the last three years. On account of this, Mr. Nityanand Rai – the Union Minister of State For Home – enhances The Foreign Contribution Amendment Act 2020 and has made it compulsory for all the FCRA NGOs to open an “FCRA account” in SBI main branch New Delhi.

26-year-old rescues & shelters over 1500 homeless in Hyderabad
Jasper Paul from Hyderabad has rescued thousands of homeless by providing critical care at his NGO — Second Chance Foundation. The NGO began as a small-scale movement in Hyderabad based on locally sourced funds. “Initially, funding was a major challenge. But we remained focused on our work. When people see the impact created and supported automatically,” Jasper Paul tells.
