Best trees for climate change
Plant a tree is the easiest way to counter planet heating at a personal level. Below are the best trees in India that we can plant to reduce climate change:
Silver Maple
For those who don’t know, Silver Maple is the fastest-growing tree that can absorb 25000 pounds of carbon dioxide. It can hold out against flooding and has moderate drought tolerance. Hence, it is one of the best trees in India for absorbing CO2 from the surroundings.
Oaktree for climate action
Oaktree is another great tree to plant for climate change and global warming. This tree helps to reduce the amount of sunlight that is reflected off of the Earth’s surface, which in turn helps to cool the planet. Additionally, the roots of the tree help to stabilize the soil, which helps to reduce the amount of carbon that is released into the atmosphere. A great tree for hills in India!
Mahogany
According to research, the mahogany tree releases a sulphur compound that can reduce atmospheric warming caused by greenhouse gases. Besides being used for medicinal purposes, the Mahogany tree also helps to reduce the risk of diseases caused due to climate change. A wonderful environment warrior for Indian climate!

Blue fescue
Blue fescue is also a good option to lessen the impact of climate change in India. It is a drought-tolerant plant that is founded in large quantities in the forests of India. This plant has high thermal mass which helps reduce the release of greenhouse gasses. Additionally, blue fescue also acts as a natural air purifier as it absorbs a large amount of CO2 from the environment.
Bamboo palm
Bamboo is an environmentally friendly tree that can help lessen climate change as it has the capability to absorb large amounts of CO2 from the environment. Besides being used for creating durable products, the Bamboo tree also reduces deforestation which again contributes to climate change.
