10 orphanages and child homes in Jaipur and Jodhpur

Jaipur is often admired for its royal history, colorful streets, and strong cultural identity. Tourists see palaces, bazaars, and heritage sites, but behind the beauty of the Pink City is a quieter reality that many people do not notice. Like every growing city, Jaipur is also home to children who grow up without parental care, safety, or stability.

According to UNICEF-supported estimates, India is home to nearly 30 million children who are orphaned, abandoned, or have lost parental care. Some of these children in Jaipur have lost their parents due to illness or poverty. Others have been abandoned or rescued from unsafe environments. While not all such children live in formal orphanages, many depend on child care homes at different stages of their lives for shelter, education, and emotional support.

That’s why Helplocal brings you a list of 10 orphanages and child care homes in Jaipur that have gained the trust of society through their years of faithful services. These orphanages vary in their work, but their aim is one and that is to bring up these children in a dignified, safe, and hopeful manner.

SOS Children’s Village is one of the most reputed child care organizations in the country. Their facility in Jaipur is based on a family model where children grow up in a well-adjusted home environment with a dedicated caregiver. The onus here is not just on providing shelter, but also on long-term emotional and educational support.

Many children stay with SOS until they become independent adults, making it a place that truly invests in futures, not just immediate needs. Across India, SOS Children’s Villages support tens of thousands of children through long-term care, education, and skill-building programs
